Founded in 1996, Indigo was built on specific values to enable consistent growth and capital preservation investing in strategic real estate assets. Indigo actively develops single and multi-tenant retail projects for nationally recognized retailers.  Its primary focus is on prime retail, single-use, net developments for tenants with strong credit. However, it also participates in value-add opportunities in the office and industrial product categories.  

 

Alex G. Sanchez, founder and President, has 25+ years of experience in the commercial real estate development and construction business.  Alex began his career in commercial real estate as Director of Real Estate of Farm Stores.  Farm Stores is a drive thru convenience store chain with over 200 stores throughout Florida.  Alex then took a position as Director and Principal with FOG Development, later merged with RMC Property Group, to manage their South Florida office in Miami.  Alex worked for over 7 years with FOG/RMC and was responsible for the sourcing and completion of more than 65 ground up commercial projects for retailers such as Walgreens, Publix, McDonalds, Wendy’s, KFC, CVS, etc... Subsequently, Alex founded Indigo Properties, Inc.  Since the creation of Indigo Alex has developed over 15 free-standing drug stores (Walgreens and CVS), over a dozen fast food restaurant deals and several multi-tenant retail centers consisting of just over 500,000 sf. of total space.  In addition, Indigo Properties has acted as a managing member for investor groups owning over 120,000 sf of office and other retail in Florida and Georgia.    

 

Alex has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Miami.  Alex is a licensed real estate professional in the State of Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
